MOMSNAME

MOMSNAME is a four piece band from Groningen. Combining the rawness of alt-rock with shoegaze, emo and math rock influences they create a unique and dynamic sound that fluctuates between vulnerable intimacy and a ‘wall of sound’.Their music is profoundly conceptual and centres around themes of love, loss and transformation. Using spoken word, visuals and stage design they create interdisciplinary live shows.As a close-knit group of friends with a shared love for alternative music, they enjoy experimenting with sound and structure. By drawing from different genres, they create their own recognizable identity. For them, performing live is ultimately about connection, both with each other and with the audience.

The WavesYou are up to your knees in the water of the sea and see a large wave coming towards you. Do you run back to the safety of shore, let yourself be flooded or dive into the water? 'The Waves' paints a portrait of Generation Z. A generation with too much stimulation and a shortage of inner peace.
Why do you feel the emotions you feel? Why do you do the things you do? Let yourself be taken into the world of The Waves and ask yourself whether you are paying enough attention to your own inner world. In this performance, which fuses film and live music, you will be guided on a quest for self-development.
